Kevin McParland and Stephen Brady made the journey to St Mellan’s in Monaghan, on Tuesday night to take on the Monaghan duo of S Scott and P McCartan in the semi-final of the Ulster Masters B doubles competition.
The Davitt pairing played well in the first winning on a 21-11 scoreline. They raced into an early lead and this was to be decisive as the Monaghan duo could never claw back the deficit. The second game was a tighter affair with the Monaghan pair doing their utmost to force the game to a tie-break . However the Davitts boys proved to be too strong and held out for a 21-17 win and a spot in the Ulster Final on 13 March.
