The senior reserve footballers put in a sterling performance against Naomh Padraig at Páirc Mhic Dháibhéid but it was the Lisburn men who prevailed in a highly entertaining game.
Both teams traded point for point in the opening 20 minutes to tie the game 0-4 to 0-4 with ours scores coming from Gerard Burns (0-2) and Jay Maguire (0-2), however it was Naomh Padraig who finished the half well kicking three unanswered points to take a half time lead 0-4 to 0-7.
Joe Cahill reduced the arrears with a well taken point on the restart but Naomh Padraig responded with a brace of points, one from a free, to go further ahead. Gerard Burns kicked his third point of the evening but again Naomh Padraig responded and opened up a 6 point lead. Points from Jay Maguire and Michael Connolly reduced the lead but the final point from Naomh Padraig saw them the victors 0-8 to 0-13.
