Despite losing away to Ballymena last Wednesday night the senior footballers put in a much improved display. There was a lot more commitment, determination and quality football played. Trailing 0-5 to 0-2 at half time we were well in the game. However, we lost our way for a ten minute period at the start of the second half during which Ballymena extended the score line to 1-9 to 0-2. We dug deep and reduced the deficit to four points only to concede another goal at a time when we had Ballymena on the back foot. The six point losing margin does not reflect how well we played and we now need to regroup for our next game at home to Ardoyne on 10 May 2017 at Boucher Road with a 8.15pm throw in.
