The senior footballers good run of form continued with an excellent home win over Aldergrove at the Falls Park. On the day we had a small panel of players available but they put in an outstanding performance of grit, determination and self belief that we could get the result and we did. We were behind early on but showed great character and tenacity to take an 0-9 to 0-7 lead with well worked goals from Decky Smyth and David Nugent but Aldergrove finished the half strongly to lead by a point at the break.
We were commanding in the second half and outscored the visitors, repelling any danger they imposed and in the end ran out deserved 6 point winners, 3-10 to 0-13.
