The senior hurlers last two games have been against teams who last year played in the old Division 3 and due to the league restructure find themselves in Division 4.
First was an away game against Lamh Dearg and while we battled hard, they were too strong on the night running out winners 3-17 to 1-5. It was a similar story against Na Magha yesterday at the Falls Park as they ran out winners 3-26 to 1-9.
These were 2 games which on paper we would not have been expected to pick up the points. Fair play to those players who battled hard against two good sides, however it is noticeable that we are missing players and we need to get everyone on board to give us any chance of competing at this level. We would ask that everyone gets behind the mangement team and start to put in a concerted effort. There are teams in this Division which will be too strong for us but on the other hand there are teams at our own level and these are the games that we need to target. This can only be achieved with buy in from players so get a long to training and ensure that we are well prepared for the games ahead.
