The senior footballers were no match for a rampant Naomh Éanna at Páirc Mhic Dháibhéid on Wednesday evening.
After 22 minutes we found ourselves 9 points in arrears as the Glengormley side kicked 2-5, with our response, two points, one from CJ Sullivan just inside in the arc and a Gerard Slane free after good work by Caoimhe Slane. Failure to add to our tally and a brace of points gave Naomh Éanna a comfortable half-time lead 0-2 to 2-7.
The second half was more of the same as Naomh Éanna continued their dominance and they tagged on further points at will. We relied on points from Gerard Slane 0-3 (2fs) and Deaglan Mooney, but they were merely consolation scores and Naomh Éanna put the icing on the cake with their third major of the evening for a convincing 0-6 to 3-15 win.
