The senior footballers failed in their attempt to make it three consecutive wins when losing 
away to Rasharkin last Sunday. It was a niggly, stop start game with neither team building up any real momentum or playing expansive football. The game lacked any real quality but it was Rasharkin who were the more eager and deservedly took the win.
We trailed at half time 0-5 to 0-4 following points from Gerard Burns (0-3), and Daniel Largey. We levelled the game on the restart when David Nugent passed the ball to Anthony Rowntree who fed Caoimhin Slane on the overlap who finished the move with a well taken point. We failed to build on this positive start and it was Rasharkin who pushed us onto the backfoot and took control reeling off six unanswered points with our only response a point from Ryan Park.
A disappointing feature of the game was the number of frees (7) which we conceded in scoring positions and the Rasharkin free taker duly punished us.
