The reserve footballers have qualified for the final of the Martin Cup with a deserved win over St Agnes at the Falls Park.
It was the Aggies who opened the scoring with a point but after that we controlled the game and were always on top. The highlight of the first half were three well taken goals, one from Ciaran Harkin and a brace for Paul Dynes. The goals were supplemented with points from Francis McGreevy 0-3 and 0-1 from Ciaran Harkin. St Agnes response was two points which gave us a lead at the break 3-4 to 0-3.
The second half was a tighter affair but we still outscored our opponents 1-4 to 1-3 to take the victory and a place in the final against O’Donnells. Our second half scorers were Paudie 1-0, Fra Harbinson 0-3 and Sean Lindberg.
