Our U14 footballers progressed to the B final of Peile Na Nog after a hard fought win over Lamh Dhearg at Shaws Road. We started the game brightly and a goal a piece for G Doherty and B Collins followed up with a P McParland point put us in a commanding lead 2-1 to 0-0. Lamh Dhearg replied with two points before a C Slane point left the half time score 2-2 to 0-2 in our favour.
We started the second half with two goals one for P Quinn and B Collins with his second of the game. C Park slotted over a point to give us a commanding advantage 4-3 to 0-2. However Lamh Dhearg dug deep and responded with two goals and three points to reduce the deficit to four points but we regrouped and saw the game out with the four point winning margin 4-3 to 2-5.
