There were mixed fortunes at the weekend in the Ulster Handball Championships for Peter Carleton and Stephen Brady. In the U21 singles competition Peter lost 2-0 to C Shanks of Armagh. It was a tight match with the first game going to the final ace with Shanks taking it 21-20 and the second 21-12.
Stephen came out on the right side of the result when accounting for Paul Cassidy of Monaghan at St Mellan’s on a 2-0 score winning 21-20 and 21-19 in the Silver Master’s B competition. Again this was a hard fought victory which could have gone either way. Stephen now progresses to the next round where he will take on Conor Mc Donnell (Mon)at  Tydavnet next Staurday 3.00pm.
