Despite going down by a big margin in the end, the senior hurlers put in a spirited display against the league leaders at the Glen Road on Friday night. In fact with 25 minutes gone we trailed by one point and had as many scoring opportunities if not more than St Teresas. However, we conceded two late goals to undo all our good work and this acted as a catalyst for St Teresas in the second half.
St Teresas dominated the second half but we never gave up and battled hard all over the pitch. Gerard McNally fetched some excellent high balls in defense, Michael Brady scored a long range point from the side line, Davy Gray scored his first point since he was 17 and substitute Michael Rowntree got his first point of the season.
Scorers: Canice Mooney (0-3), Paul McGivern (0-2),  Michael Brady (0-1), Davy Gray (0-1), Michael Rowntree (0-1)
