Kev McParland and Stephen Brady proved too strong for their Antrim counterparts in the Ulster Silver Master B Doubles final at Gortnamona last Sunday. Their opponents Stevie Roberts and Gerry Rafferty, from O’Donnells, never got going in the first game and the Davitts duo took it 21-12.
The O’Donnells pairing came out at the start of the second game all guns blazing and took an early lead, however they had it all to do and Kev and Stephen played steady handball to regain command and take the second game 21-15 and the title.
Kev and Stephen now advance to the All-Ireland semi-final where they will take on the Munster winners on the weekend of 23/24 March.
