Kev McParland took the Antrim Silvers Masters B Handball title last night at Gortnamona. His opponent was Paul Murray from Queens an opponent he had already defeated in this year’s Ulster championship.
The early stages of the first game saw both players go point for point before Kev settled into his game to take a lead. However, Murray dug deep and clawed his way back to within a point at 14-13 before Kev opened up to roll out the required aces to take the first game 21-14.
The second game followed a similar pattern and with Kev dominating he gave Murray no opportunities to knock him out of his game plan. He took the second game 21-12 to take the title. It was an excellent game of handball and credit to both finalists for the effort and skill displayed.
