Gort na Mona – U10 Tournament

Our U10 footballers were in action in a tournament hosted by Gort na mona on Sunday 13th October. We played three group games,winning 2 against Gort na mona B and Lagmore, losing the other game to Aldergrove. The team then further progressed to the shield, where we faced a tough Gort na mona A in an evenly contested semi. We won by a single point to reach the final against Sarsfields. The first half of the shield final was evenly matched with us, winning by two going into the 2nd half, including scores from C Sullivan, R McLaughlan, O Gorman , V Zawula. J Goodwin ended the contest with a final score as we ran out convincing winners 18-6 in the end. The young Davitts were a credit to themselves and their club,well done lads.
