On Friday night 23rd we played St Brigids B at Musgrave Park. We started the game with a goal from Gerard Power with good play to set him up. St Brigids responded with 2 points and a great save by Anthony Quinn prevented them from taking the lead. Gerard Power then broke free to set up Ryan Spence who put the ball in the net. We then conceded a goal but another point from Gerard extended our lead. Good defensive work from Caiomhin Heaney then released Gerard who put the ball over the bar. St Brigids then assumed the lead with 2 goals. With us now behind we needed to work hard and Ryan McLaughlin committed himself to a tackle, won it and set up CJ who deserved a score for his effort on the night. Now with the scores  level the best player on the pitch duly responded with a point to put the young Davitt’s footballers in to the lead.
