The senior footballers finish their first round of games in Division 3 this Sunday away to Naomh Padraig at Kirkwood Park at 7pm. After the final round of games the division will split into two section of seven teams with reverse fixtures taking place. We have secured our poistion in the top half of the league.
Our most recent outings saw us beat Eire Og away at Boucher Road and lose at home to Aghagallon.

Two first half goals from Daniel Largey and one from Anto McGrattan gave us the platform for a comfortable victory at Boucher Road. We were in total control of this game and at half time led 3-4 to 0-4. The second half followed a similar pattern whcih saw us run out winners 4-9 to 0-8.

The final score in no way tells the full story of this game. After a strong start from the away team when they kicked two early points, we settled into the game. When the scores were tied at 0-4 a piece we gradually took command and were a bit unlucky not to have been awarded a penalty. At this point we had the visitors on the back foot, we were playing at a high indensity, we were strong in the tackle and attacked with pace and purpose tagging on 4 excellent points to lead 0-8 to 0-4.  Two Aghagallon points towards the end of the half left us with a two point advantage at the break.
The second half was equally as competitive with the team giving their all against the unbeaten league leaders. Despite our best endeavours a few decisions appeared to go the way of the visitors which gave them the impetus and their two second half goals, one very late on proved to be the difference between the two sides. However, we have to take the positives from this peformance, we were very strong all over the park and there is no doubt Aghagallon left the park knowing that they were perhaps a bit fortunate to have taken the win.
