The senior footballers picked up successive wins in the league with a home win over Rasharkin 1-12 to 1-9 and an away victory over Sarsfields 1-13 to 0-8.
We were slow to start against Rasharkin and ourselves trailing by 1-1 to no score but we showed our resolve, didn’t panic and played our way back into the game. In a hard fought first half we trailed by three points at the break. We upped the tempo in the second half overturning the deficit and finished strongly to secure the points with a four point winning margin.

Against Sarsfields we again had to come from behind as they led 0-4 to 0-1. The sides were level at 0-6 at the break but we put in another commanding second half performance to run out worthy winners 1-13 to 0-8. On the night we had nine scorers which bodes well.
