ACHL Division 4B – Davitts 1-12 Ballela 3-8

Compared to the team that beat Creggan in our opening league match we were under strength but nonetheless we still should have taken both points. This was Ballela’s first outing in the Antrim leagues and we knew we would be in for a difficult game. This proved to be the case as the lead changed several times. However with five minutes left we had edged into a three point lead only for Ballela to hit a late goal followed by two points to claim the victory. Our scorers on the day were Stephen McGivern 1-5, Anton McCaffrey 0-5, Tommy Toland 0-1 and R McEvoy 0-1.
