This was a match we could have won and up until the 48th minute when Aldergrove scored a goal we played the better football. The goal changed the game and from there we lost our way. Both teams were evenly matched in a low scoring first half 0-3 to 0-3. Our scores came from Liam McGivern, Anto McGrattan and Ryan Rooney and only for the wood work we could have added two goals to our tally.
The second half continued in the same fashion with both teams trading point for point with Collie O’Riordan getting his first point and Anto McGrattan adding his second. Aldergrove then edged a point in front and quickly followed up with a goal to take a four point advantage. As mentioned this turned the game and from there Aldergrove added four points in a row before a Daniel Largey point and Sean McGovern point left the final score 0-7 to 1-10.
