The U16 footballers put up a brave display in this home encounter at Boucher Road. The first half was even with both teams registering 2-2 a piece. Our scores came from P McAuley 1-0, M Marron 1-0, C Collins 0-1 and E Duffy0-1.
Eire Og upped their game on the restart and we struggled to restrict them scoring while having difficulties in creating scoring opportunities ourselves. However as the half progressed we settled back into the game and a goal and point from T Kelly kept us in the hunt. We pushed to reduce the deficit but Eire Og held on for the win 3-3 to 4-7.
