7-a-side Senior Football Competition – Easter Saturday

To mark the centenary anniversary of the death of our club patron, Michael Davitt a 7-a-side Senior Football competition will be held on Saturday 15 April (Easter Saturday) at Corrigan Park, Belfast. The eight teams that will be participating teams are:Davitts, BelfastRossa, Belfast St. Brigids, BelfastSt, Johns, BelfastSt. Galls, BelfastClan na nGael, ArmaghSarsfields, ArmaghArmagh Harps The format will consist of two sections, each of four teams. The top two teams in each section will progress to the tournament semi-finals while the other teams will advance to a supplementary semi-final game. The team panel should consist of no more than 12 players.There will be prizes for the winning teams of the supplementary and tournament final but all participating clubs will receive an engraved memento of the occasion.The pitch will be split, with temporary goals erected, to facilitate the simultaneous playing of the two sections games. Each round robin game and semi-finals will last 15 minutes in total, (7minutes each way) with both finals extended to 20 minutes (10 minutes each way). Normal 7’s rules will apply but a copy will be provided prior to the start of the competition. The draw for the sections will take place on the morning of the competition at 10.30am promptly and I would ask you to arrive around 10.15am to register and be present for the draw. Officials of the County Antrim Board will make the draw.
