Ulster Masters B Doubles Title

Joe Murphy and Stephen Brady took the Ulster Masters B Doubles title at Gortnamona against fellow Antrim opponents Anthony McCann and Edmund Brennan. This was a rematch of the Antrim final and this time Anthony and Edmund were out for revenge. They started brightly and raced into a 5-0 lead and were starting to look menacing but Joe and Stephen remained calm and fought their way back into the game to take the lead but this time Anthony and Edmund hit back and despite a great effort could not stop Joe and Stephen from taking the first game 21-17.Joe and Stephen got off to a good start in the second and continued to pile on the pressure and raced into a good lead. Again Anthony and Edmund dug deep to claw their way back into contention but as in the first Joe and Stephen had too much in reserve and won the second 21-13 to take the title. This now qualifies them for the All-Ireland semi-final in a fortnight with opponents and venue to be confirmed
