Kevin McParland and Stephen Brady have reached the All-Ireland Final of the Silver Masters B Doubles handball championship. At St Pauls yesterday their opponents were the Cork duo of P Clancy and B O’Regan.
After a  tight and cagey opening to the first game, when both pairings were looking to stamp their authority on the match, it was Kev and Stephen who forced the pace of the game to take control. Good ceiling shots and some excellent kill shots put the Cork pair under immense pressure allowing the Davitt pair to take the first game 21-9.
Kev and Stephen upped the intensity in the second and quickly built up a substantial lead, one that they wouldn’t lose, despite the best endeavours of their opponents. They took the second 21-10 and a place in the All-Ireland final in a fortnights time against Kilkenny pair Tom O’Keeffe and Tom Dooley.
