Juvenile Update

Under 8 and Under 10 Football

The development of this youngest group of Davitts Footballers continues at a pace and last Sunday saw another great day for them as they entertained their Rossa counterparts at Grosvenor Leisure Centre. It is tremendous to see the numbers growing and as always we welcome new players every week, simply to encourage young gaels from Clonard and all the surrounding areas to take part in our national games. The two sets of matches were very enjoyable and worthwhile, and we thank Rossa for coming down to take part.

There is no training this Sunday due to a pre-arranged event being organised by the Centre but Davitts take on local neighbours McDermotts at Under 10 and under 12 level on Sunday 3 April.

Under 16 Football

The Under 16s had another useful run out against a St Pauls/Sarsfields amalgamation team on Sunday and ran out comfortable victors. There is still some rustiness that needs to be worked on but the team are putting in a decent effort and on Sunday there were some good performances from Padraig McParland, Niall Hughes, Conor Moreland, Anthony Rowntree, Brendan Collins and man of the match, Pearse McAuley. This Sunday, the team take on Rossa at 12noon at the Shaws Road venue.

Minor Football

After a break last week, there will be joint Minor and Under 16 Football training this Friday at Grosvenor at 6.30pm.
