The U16 footballers came up against a very good Rossa side at Boucher Road last Sunday. The first half was very competitive and with Rossa getting off to an early 1-2 to 0-0 lead we were quickly on the back foot. However a D Wilson goal got us off the mark before Rossa responded with 2-2. We dominated the final 10 minutes of the half, pinning Rossa in their own half and playing some nice football  hitting four unanswered points from C Park, B Collins, P McParland and D Wilson to leave the half time score 1-4 to 3-4.
The second half saw Rossa take total control of the game and despite the best endevaours of keeper T McGuinness, defenders E Gallagher and T Carberry, midfielder and our man of the match A Rowntree (0-1), and forward, C Park we were no match for a Rossa team who ran out convincing winners.
