The senior footballers put in a much improved performance against Ardoyne last Sunday at Boucher Road. An early Colm McAuley goal gave us the advantage but Ardoyne struck back with two points, before a Sean O’Neill free gave us a 1-1 to 0-2 lead. However, Ardoyne replied with 1-2 to take a three point lead at half time.
We played some excellent football in the second half and created many scoring chances. Both teams had opportunities to win the game and the lead changed several times. Scores from Stevie Dobbin (0-2), Gerard Burns (1-2) and G Nelson (0-2) ensured that we came out of the game with a draw.
