The senior hurlers made it two wins from two outings with an away win last Wednesday evening at Ballyvarley. We controlled the game for long spells and picked off some nice scores and when Ballyvarley threatened we were very strong defensively. We limited Ballyvarley to any clear cut opportunities with their goal coming from a lopping ball into the square which caught everyone out as it ended up in the net and their 2 points coming from frees.
Our first half scores came from C Mooney 1-5, S Smyth 1-0 and points from T Toland and C McKeee which gave us a half time lead 1-2 to 2-7. The wind increased in the second half which made scoring very diffcult but we outscored Ballyvarley 0-4 to a single point (free) to run out victors 2-11 to 1-3.
