The senior footballers couldn’t build on their early first half promise in this game and Moneyglass rang out deserved winners. We led after twenty minutes 0-5 to 0-2 but Moneyglass chipped away at the deficit and edged into a point lead. We levelled with a Liam McGivern point but a Moneyglass goal and point to finish the half put us on the back foot.
We had a few scoring opportunities at the start of the second half but failure to convert the chances and with Moneyglass making the most of their scoring chances they quickly put the game to bed, running out winners 0-7 to 3-12.
