The senior footballers made it 2 wins from 2 outings after a six point victory away to Dunloy last Sunday. We played some outstanding football in the first 20 minutes and Dunloy struggled to get into the game, however a lapse in concentration saw Dunloy counter with Karl Fitzpatrick driving the ball to the net. From then we lost a bit of our compsure and despite all our good work we went in at half time trailing by a point.
After an early Dunloy point in the second half we reasserted our superiority and playing attacking football got back on level terms and when Danny Wallace fired the ball to the net we took control. We finished strongly and tagged on several points to give us a deserved win.
On the day there were great performances all over the park. We were industrious, played at a good tempo and were very strong in the tackle. Padraig McParland top scored with 0-9 with our other scores coming from Danny Wallace 1-0, Daniel Largey 0-2, Sean O’Neill 0-2, Anto McGrattan 0-1 and Ryan Rooney 0-1.
