O’Donnells ran out deserved winners in this Division 3 clash at McCrory Park last Sunday. The first half was very even with both teams trading scores to see the game tied at 1-2 each, however our goal was a bit fotunate as a mix up in the O’Donnell’s defense saw their defender pass the ball past his own keeper and into the back of the net. A further O’Donnell’s goal to a pointed reply saw them lead 2-2 to 1-3. Our scorers in the first half were Gerard Burns 0-2 and Liam McGivern 0-1.
We opened brightly at the start of the second half and points from P McAuley and Anto McGrattan quickly saw us level the game. From there on O’Donnells took control, with a Ciaran O’Riordan point our only other score of the half. A swift volley of points were finished off with a late goal to see O’Donnels take the two points.
