A point three minutes into injury time by O’Donnells was enough to give them a share of the spoils at Boucher Road on Sunday. Â This was a game which was there to be won but we struggled to get any rhythm to our play. Despite this we led at half time 2-5 to 2-2 with the goals coming from Stephen McGivern and Eugene Gallagher with points from Michael Rowntree 0-1, Rory McEvoy 0-2, Paul McGivern 0-1 and Stephen McGivern 0-1.
At half time it was emphasised that we needed to step up our game and get a bit more intensity into our play. However, it was O ‘Donnells who got off to the better start in the second half with an early goal to tie the match. This seemed to unsettle us and it took awhile for us to recover. Paul McGivern added two pointed frees with O’Donnells responding with another point before  Stephen McGivern fired over a long range point to give us a two point lead. At this stage we should have seen the game out but O’Donnells pressed forward and got their reward with two late points to tie the game.
