The senior hurlers recorded another victory in their league campaign with a five point victory over All Saints at Boucher Road. This was by no means one of our better performances of the season but the bottom line was that we hung in and managed to secure the points.
After a good start when we led 1-3 to 0-4 with scores from Canice Mooney 1-1, Peter Carleton 0-1 and Stephen McGivern 0-1 it was All Saints who took command of the game. Four unanswered points left us trailing at the break 1-3 to 0-7.Â
From the restart All Saints stretched further in front as we struggled to get any structure to our game. Behind 0-11 to 1-3 we suddenly burst into life. Tommy Toland fired to the net as the sliotar bobbled around the box and when Gerard Burns netted, following good work from Tommy Toland,  we took a one point lead. Canice Mooney tagged on a further five points to one All Saints effort to leave us winners but as said it wasn’t the most convincing win we have had this season. Click here to check out gallery.
