The next two weeks sees the climax of the Antrim Handball Championships and we have representation in fours finals. First up is Owen McKenna who partners Sean Devine in the final of the Senior Doubles where their opponents are Ricky McCann and Seamus O’Tuama. This should be an enthralling contest at Gortnamona on Wednesday night (9 December) at 8.00pm.
Sunday 13 December sees a host of final taking place at Gortnamona. Christy Brady and Anto McGrattan play the St Paul’s pairing of P Burns and K Gamble in the final of the Junior B Doubles. Christy and Anto had a tough game in their semi against Conn and Patterson of McCorley’s and this should have sharpened them up for the final. This game is scheduled for a 1.00pm start.
The highlight of final’s day will be the contest between Owen McKenna and Ricky McCann in the final of the Senior Singles. Owen is the defending champion and will face stiff opposition from Ricky who will be looking to win back the title. This game is scheduled for a 4.00pm start.
