The senior footballers progressed to the final of the Beringer Cup with a well deserved win over St Galls at the Falls Park on Sunday evening. An early Jake O’Rawe goal set us up for a good performance, and despite playing against the breeze we finished the half in front on a score 2-5 to 0-5. Our scores came from Daniel Largey (0-3), points for both Anto McGrattan and Aaron Slane and the other goal from Pearse McAuley.
The second half was a bit closer but a further Daniel Largey point and 1-1 from Liam McGivern was enough to see us over the line and through to the Beringer Cup final 3-7 to 0-7.
The final has been scheduled for Easter Sunday at Lamh Dearg.
