The senior footballers put in a lack lustre performance at home to Gortnamona last night at the Falls Park. Despite this we only trailed by two points at half time and when we went a point in front in the second half in looked as if we had the momentum to go on and win the game. However, Gortnamona equalised and when we broke forward and squandered a great scoring opportunity it was Gortnamona who went up the pitch and knocked over another point. This revitalised Gortnamona and they finished the game strong to win 1-17 to 0-12.
Next up on Sunday night is an away trip to Tir Na nOg and hopefully we can confirm our top 6 status as the league splits into two section following this round of games.
