Davitts Under 12’s up for the ‘Challenge’

Davitts Under 12 Footballers continued a run of challenge games with a very entertaining and close encounter with St Galls on Friday night at Milltown. Indeed so close was the game that neither sideline was entirely certain of the outcome and when the referee belatedly confessed to having no notepad or the scoring, an admirable draw seemed the fairest way to settle affairs.However, the most important and pleasing aspect for the Davitts mentors was the determination and effort displayed by the young team. Having said that, St Galls started the brighter and mainly due to their extra height and strength at midfield, they had plenty of efforts at goal but were unable to notch any scores. Anthony Rowntree then started to win some good balls and this inspired Daviitts to bring the game to St Galls and it didn’t take long to make this count.
