Kev McParland and Stephen Brady went down in a thrilling final of the Ulster Masters B doubles at Gortnamona, on Saturday. In a tense first game the pairing of O’Hare and Devlin edged it on score of 21-20 and with the Davitt duo getting off to a flyer in the second, leading 13-4 it looked as if the match would go to the tie break. However, the O’Donnells boys fought back and pushed ahead to lead 20-14. They had several opportunities to close out the match but Kev and Stephen battled hard and pulled the score back to 20-17 but it was to prove to be futile as the O’Donnell’s boys eventual got the ace to take the game and the title.

Michael Davitt GAC (Davitts) social club is sited at the corner of Clonard St/Falls Rd. We have promoted Irish culture and gaelic games for over a century, with our own playing and training facilities at Davitt Park, opened in 2019
There will be a club shop on Tuesday 12th May at Davitt Park, for order collections and general sales from our stock.If we haven’t got what you’re after, you can fill in an order form and pay a deposit.
It will be open 6pm to 7.15pm, up the steps at the container beside the pitch.

A memorable evening for Gerard and Matthew Nugent as father and son took to the field together for the first time in our South Antrim game last night. 👏👏👏Also great to see two old teammates, Niall and Jake, back playing together. They put in a great shift in midfield to roll back the years.
