The Davitts minors got their fourth win in a row on Tuesday night after a convincing win over local rivals O’Donnell’s at McRory  park. Both teams started brightly with scores from P McAuley and A Healy leaving the sides level at 0-2 each before a P McAuley goal edged us in front. From there Davitts started to take control of the game and some fine scores from T Kelly 0-1, A Healy 0-2, J Winchester 0-1 plus another major from P McAuley left us with a commanding lead before O’Donnell’s pulled a point back with the last kick of the half to leave the scores at 2-06 to 0-03 in Davitts favour.
The second half started the same as the first finished with Davitts playing some nice football rounded off with scores from T Kelly 0-1, A Rowntree 0-1, C Meehan 1-0, J Winchester 2-0, A Healey 0-1 and Ryan Park who came off the bench to score 3 very well taken points. The game finished 5-12 to 0-03.
This was a great all round team performance but special mention must go to Donal Brady who was able to make his comeback after more than a year out with a serious knee injury.
