Senior Hurlers notch up big score in friendly

Davitts 8-17 Carryduff 0-4The Senior hurlers comprehensively defeated Carryduff in a friendly match on Saturday afternoon at Boucher Road. We had eight different scorers on the day – Anto McCaffrey (4-3), Ciaran Wright (3-5), Stephen McGivern (1-2), Rory McEvoy (0-4) and points a piece for Paul Morgan, Sean Smith and Tom McGuckin. Whilst the scoreline is flattering, Carryduff are in the infancy of promoting hurling and there will be stiffer tasks ahead starting with the Ulster Hurling League match on Saturday night away to Craobh Rua (Armagh) in Camlough.
