USHL – Davitts 2-7 Carryduff 3-6

The Senior Hurlers disappointed in their opening Ulster League match against Carryduff at Boucher Road going down by two points. We contributed to our own downfall and despite not playing well had managed to edge into the lead and were a point to the good with time almost up. We were awarded a free and in an attempt to clear our lines gave possession to Carryduff who lauched a high ball into the box which ended up in the back of the net.

On a positive note we know we will improve as we get more stickwork and matches and with our next outing against Monaghan Harps we will be hoping to improve on our overall performance and get back to winning ways.

Scorers on the day were Anton McCaffrey 1-4, P McGivern 0-3 and Tommy Toland 1-0.
