The senior footballers won their opening league game against Pearses, in ACFL Div 3 at the Falls Park on Wednesday night. We lead 1-5 to 0-1 at halftime with scores from D Largey 1-1, P McParland 0-2, N Hughes 0-1 and C Slane 0-1.
We extended our lead to 12 points in the second half with P McParland kicking to the net from the penalty spot and then adding point, while A McGrattan chipped in with two points. Pearses finished well kicking a further 2-3 but further points from P McParland and G Burns saw us victors 2-10 to 2-4.
