The senior footballers won this league encounter by nine points in what was a dress rehearsal for the Junior Football Championship quarter final. We didn’t play our best, but on the night the difference was the goals from Pearse McAuley, Ciaran O’Riordan and a rare major from Michael Rowntree which keeps us in second place and on course for promotion.
The championship tie has been fixed for Friday 23 August at Rossa Park with a 7.00pm throw in. Everyone should get a long on Friday night and support the team in their quest for a semi final spot.
