The senior footballers put up a spirited performance away to Tir Na Nog last Wednesday night despite going down by seven points.
Tir Na Nog dominated the match in the first half and with the advantage of the wind led 0-10 to 0-4 at half time. Our points came from Sean McGovern, Liam McGivern, Paul Dynes and Stevie Dobbin.
We played some excellent football at the start of the second half and for the
first fifteen minutes Tir Na Nog struggled to get the ball into our half. Despite having all the possession and being well on top we only managed to add three points during this spell from Ryan Rooney, Paul Dynes and Liam McGivern. Failure to be more clinical in front of goal allowed Tir Na Nog to weather the storm and run out winners 1-11 to 0-7.
