The senior hurlers travelled to Glenravel to take on Conn Mag Aoidh in their latest league game and were comprehensively outplayed all over the park, resulting in a heavy defeat.
Playing against a strong wind we didn’t do enough to nullify the Conn Mag Aoidh onslaught, and they opened up a commanding lead at the break 2-12 to 0-6, with our scores coming from Chris Gallagher 0-4 and points from Colm McKee and Stephen McGivern.
The second half wasn’t any better and we were never able to get anywhere near to mount any sort of challenge. Points from Chris Gallagher 0-2, Stephen McGivern 0-2 and Deaglan Mooney were merely consolation scores as Conn Mag Aoidh ran up a big score for a deserved win 4-23 to 0-11.
