The senior footballers have advanced to the next round of the Beringer Cup, after a 0-13 to 0-6 victory against O’Donnell’s this afternoon, at a blustery Boucher Road.
We played into the wind in the first half but still managed to go in 3 points ahead at half time, 0-7 to 0-4.
When we kicked two points early in the second half, the game looked safe but it needed a smart penalty save from Aaron Slane to keep the gap at 6 points, ten minutes from the end, before we extended the gap to finish comfortably ahead.
The team has less than 24 hours to recover, for the trip to Enright Park tomorrow to play Gort na Mona. Throw-in 2pm
