Juvenile Update week ending 7 May 2006

On the field, Davitt’s had a successful week, with all their teams that played securing victories. On Tuesday night, the U-14 footballers defeated Lamh Dhearg at Twinbrook by seven points. Later that evening, at Shaw’s Road, the Minor footballers showed great heart, determination and some skillful football to run out comfortable winners, 2-6 to 0-5. Due to the stormy weather conditions, the U-16 football game on Thursday was cancelled as no pitches were playable, while the U-12 football fixture was also cancelled at the last minute on Friday night. Fixtures week commencing 8 May; Minor football v O’Donnell’s at Twinbrook. Throw-in 7.30pm. Players to meet at club @ 6.30pm. There is no U-14 football fixture this week. U-16 football v St. Malachy’s @ Cherryvale. Again, throw-in is at 6.30pm so players to meet at the club at 5.30pm. Friday: U-12 football against St. John’s @ Twinbrook. Players to meet at the clubroom s @ 5.30pm for a throw-in of 6.30pm
