The minor footballers held on for a two point win over Pearses at Boucher Road on Tuesday night. We played with a strong wind in the first half but in the first ten minutes failed to use it to our advantage as Pearses rocked us with two goals. However we steadied the ship and playing some entertaining football we kicked 4-10 without reply.
The wind definitely played a big factor and the second half saw Pearses mount a serious come back. We were put under severe pressure as they gradually nibbled away at our lead and with a few minutes left they had reduced the deficit to two points. However, we held strong in the final nail biting minutes for a hard fought victory. Credit to both teams for serving up a feast of scores for the supporters and mentors.
