No joy for Minors or U16’s in league

On Tuesday night, the Minors battled hard against Gort na Mona for long periods of the game and were only three points behind at the turn. But the visitors hit some great scores from play in the second period and eventually ran out winners by some eight points. A similar fate befell the U-16 footballers in their opening game away to St. Enda’s on Thursday night. They showed some promise and good skills but the home side found the net when it mattered to quell any chance of a Davitt victory.
