U12s advance to next round of O’Donnell Cup while U10s win Sarsfields Tournament

Davitts juveniles enjoyed a degree of success this week with the U-12s and U-10s both winning. The U-12 footballers advanced to the quarter finals of the O’Donnell Cup with a facile victory over St. Agnes at Twinbrook on Friday past. The U-10s participated in the Sarsfields Tournament and came away as overall winners and a trophy for the cabinet. They had tough opening group game victory against Rossa which prepared them for the rest of the competition. Further group wins against Gort na mona and St. Teresa’s saw them advance to the semi-final of the cup, where they turned out to be too strong for O’Donnells. In the final, they once again came up against Rossa but on this occasion, Davitts proved too strong and sealed victory with a good team effort. Rossa would look to reverse that result next week in the Jack McCartan Tournament. Congratulatons to the squad and mentors, Kev McParland and Terry Park.
