Glenravel proved too strong for our senior footballers at Páirc Mac Dáibhéid last Sunday.
We never really got going in this game and Glenravel were much better all over the pitch and led by 1-3 to 0-0 after 11 minutes. Niall Hughes kicked our first point of the game after a nice solo run from his own half and from 40 yards out split the posts. We added a further point but 2 pointed Glenravel frees left us trailing 0-2 to 1-5 at the break.
Glenravel opened the scoring in the second half with a point from a 45 and we responded with a pointed free from Gerard Slane. We then endured a good spell of possession but failed to take any opportunities and were guilty of over playing the ball at times. Glenravel picked of their points when the chances presented and another goal in between gave them a stranglehold on the game and they were worthy winners on a score of 0-3 to 2-9.
